Pioneer Mother is a four-piece string band hailing from the musical incubator of Nederland, Colorado. Recent crowds across the Western U.S. have enjoyed the vocal-forward American storytelling and slick picking of the authentic "hippiegrass" of Pioneer Mother. Pioneer Mother has made appearances on both the 2019 ARISE Festival and Northwest String Summit lineups, alongside artists such as Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, Trampled by Turtles, Rising Appalachia, The ‘Lil Smokies, Fruition, The Kitchen Dwellers, and The Dead South.
